Road closures: more than a dozen for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have 14 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further 13 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M25, from 10pm March 6 to 6am March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15 to junction 16, Lane closures for embankment and pavement works.

• M4, from 10pm March 6 to 5am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, Lane closures for drainage works.

• M25, from 10pm March 6 to 5am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 15 to M4 northbound, junction 4, Lane closures for CAT1 barrier repair works.

• M4, from 10pm March 7 to 5.30am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 westbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M25, from 9pm March 8 to 5am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise to M40 northbound, Lane closures on link road for maintenance work.

• M25, from 9pm March 8 to 5am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise to M40 northbound, Lane closures on link road for maintenance work.

• M40, from 9pm March 8 to 5am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• M40, from 9pm March 9 to 5am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• M25, from 9pm March 9 to 5am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise to M40 southbound, Lane closures on link road for maintenance work.

• A40, from 10pm March 11 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A40 northbound to M40 northbound, junction 1, Lane closure for maintenance work.

• M4, from 10pm March 14 to 5am March 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

• M4, from 10pm March 20 to 5am March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

• M25, from 10pm March 20 to 5.30am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to M25, junction 15, link road closures and lane closures for resurfacing works, diversion via National Highways roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
