Road closures: more than a dozen for Hillingdon drivers this week
Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have 16 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And 10 of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M4, from 10.30pm July 3 to 5.30am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for smart motorway works.
• A40, from 10pm July 1 to 5am July 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 northbound, diversion Route from, junction 1a southbound, entry slip to J1 and return� � � .
• M4, from 10.30pm July 3 to 5.30am July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, lane closures for M4 smart motorway works.

• M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.
And a further 11 closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M4, from 10pm July 4 to 6am July 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 3, carriageway closure between the exit and entry slip road for joint replacement works, diversion via National Highways Roads (junction 3 exit slip and rejoin using the entry slip).

• M25, from 10pm July 11 to 5.30am July 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, carriageway, link road and entry slip road closures for M4 Smart motorway works, diversion via Highways England network and local authority roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
