Road closures: five for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M4, from 10pm August 20 to 5.30am August 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, carriageway closure and entry slip road closures for M4 Smart Motorway works, diversion via TFL roads.

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm August 24 to 5.30am August 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures for smart motorway works.

M4, from 10pm August 25 to 5.30am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures for smart motorway works.

A40, from 11pm August 25 to 6am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A40 northbound to M40 northbound, junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
