Road closures: five for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M25, from 12.02am December 1 2021 to 11.59pm June 1 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm April 19 to 5.30am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction Heston to junction 4, Lane closure for smart motorway works.

M40, from 10pm April 19 to 6am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to junction 1, Hard shoulder closure for electrical works.

M25, from 10pm April 25 to 5.30am April 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, carriageway, link road and Lane closures for M4 SMP, diversion via Local authorities.

M4, from 10pm April 27 to 5.30am April 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4b, lane closure for smart motorway works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
