Road closures: eight for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M25, from 12.02am December 1 2021 to 11.59pm June 1 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

A40, from 9pm May 16 to 5am May 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a -, junction 1, lane closures due to maintenance work.

M40, from 9pm May 17 to 5am May 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 2 -, junction 1, lane closures due to maintenance work.

M4, from 10pm May 17 to 5.30am May 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4, junction 3 eastbound, Lane closure for M4 smart motorway works.

M4, from 10pm May 17 to 5.30am May 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4, junction 4 westbound, entry slip road closure for smart motorway works, diversion via National Highways Roads.

M25, from 10pm May 18 to 5.30am May 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4, junction 4B to junction 3 eastbound, Full carriageway closure including link roads for Smart Motorway improvements, diversion via National Highways and local authority.

M4, from 10pm May 19 to 5.30am May 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4, junction 2 to junction 4B westbound, Lane closures for smart motorway works.

M25, from 10pm May 30 to 5.30am June 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anticlockwise, junction 15 to junction 14, carriageway closure for surfacing works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
