Road closures: eight for Hillingdon drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M4, from 10.30pm September 24 to 5.30am September 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, Lane closures for survey works.

M25, from 10pm September 23 to 5.30am September 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 eastbound to M25, junction 16 clockwise and anti-clockwise Link Roads, link road cliosures for resurfacing works, diversion via National Highways roads.

M4, from 10pm September 23 to 5.30am September 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4b to junction 5, Lane closures for drainage works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M4, from 10pm September 28 to 5am September 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, lane closures for Urgent PDA road marking renewals.

M4, from 10pm September 30 to 5am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4 to junction 5, Lane closures for structure inspection works.

A40, from 10pm September 30 to 5.30am October 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1A, Lane closures and link road closures for resurfacing works, diversion via National Highways roads.

M4, from 10pm September 30 to 5am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4, Lane closures for structure inspections works.

M4, from 10pm October 9 to 5am October 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction junction 3, Lane closures for vegetation clearance, diversion via, junction 4 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
