Road closures: almost a dozen for Hillingdon drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have 11 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 8pm December 8 2023 to 6am January 20 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 both directions, junction 5, slip road and lane closures for inspection work.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M25, from 10pm January 15 to 5am January 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to M25 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 15, link road closures for barrier repairs, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M4, from 11pm January 19 to 5.30am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures for lighting works.

• M4, from 10pm January 20 to 5.30am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, Lane closures for drainage works.

• M25, from 10pm January 20 to 5am January 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, carriageway closure including M25 link roads for inspection works, diversion via local authorities.

• M40, from 10pm January 22 to 5.30am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 1a, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• M25, from 10pm January 22 to 5.30am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise to M40 northbound, link road, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M25, from 10pm January 24 to 5.30am January 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise to M40 northbound, link road, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M25, from 10pm January 24 to 5.30am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, Lane closures for survey works.

• M25, from 10pm January 29 to 5.30am January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise to M40 southbound, link road, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M25, from 10pm January 29 to 5.30am January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise to M40 southbound, link road, Lane closure for maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
