Road closures: a dozen for Hillingdon drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have 12 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M25, from 10pm June 19 to 5am June 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 15, Lane closure for Speed / Red X Enforcement Camera maintenance.

• M4, from 10pm June 19 to 5am June 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3, entry slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via local authority network.

• A312, from 10pm June 20 to 5.30am June 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4b, Lane, entry and exit slip road closures for drainage HADDMs survey, diversion via M4 J5 and return. And M4 J3 and return.

• M4, from 10pm June 22 to 5.30am June 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4b, Lane closures for HADDMs drainage survey works.

• A40, from 10pm June 22 to 6am June 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, link road to M25 clockwise, carriageway closure for maintenance works, diversion southbound, via national highways network.

• M4, from 10pm June 22 to 5.30am June 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4b to junction 3, Lane closures for HADDMs drainage survey works.

• A40, from 10pm June 26 to 6am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a, exit slip road closure for maintenance work, diversion via National Highways Network.

• M40, from 10pm June 26 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 1a, Hard shoulder closure for maintenance work.

• A312, from 10pm June 26 to 5.30am June 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane and entry slip road closures for Smart Motorways, diversion via M4 J4.

• M4, from 11pm June 30 to 5.30am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane and exit slip road closures for HADDMs works, diversion via, junction 2 and back.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
