Hillingdon road closures: six for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Hillingdon's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A40, from 9.30pm April 11 to 5am April 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound to M25 clockwise link road, carriageway closure for maintenance works, diversion via national highways network.

M25, from 10pm April 12 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15 to junction 16, Lane closures for embankment and pavement works.

M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm April 17 to 5.30am April 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, carriageway closure, lane closures and entry slip closure for M4 SMP signage and electrical works, diversion via TFL and National Highways roads.

A312, from 10pm April 19 to 5am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3, Lane closures for inspection works.

M25, from 10pm April 24 to 6am April 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15 to junction 16, Lane closures for embankment and pavement works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
