Hillingdon road closures: nine for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Hillingdon's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And six of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M25, from 11pm November 18 to 5.30am November 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, Weekend carriageway, link road and entry slip road closures for M4 Smart motorway works, diversion via Highways England network and local authority roads.

M4, from 11pm November 18 to 5.30am November 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Weekend carriageway closure for M4 Smart motorway works, diversion via local authority roads.

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm November 21 to 5am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 northbound, junction 4A to junction 4, Lane closures for structures inspections.

M4, from 10pm November 21 to 5.30am November 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4, carriageway closure, exit slip road closure and lane closures for CAT 1 loop repairs, diversion via National Highways and TFL roads.

M25, from 11pm November 25 to 5.30am November 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, Weekend carriageway closure and link road closures for M4 SMP works, diversion via National Highways and TFL roads.

M25, from 10pm December 1 to 5.30am December 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Lane closures for M4 SMP technology works.

M4, from 10pm December 5 to 5am December 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 southbound, junction 4, carriageway closure for white lining works, diversion via local authority and TFL roads.

M25, from 10pm December 5 to 5.30am December 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anticlockwise, junction 16 to junction 15, Lane closures and link road closures for resurfacing works, diversion via National highways roads (M25 to junction 14 and return).

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
