Hillingdon road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have 19 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A40, from 10.30pm February 26 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, link road to M25 clockwise, carriageway closure for maintenance works, diversion southbound, via national highways network.

• M25, from 10pm February 23 to 5.30am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15 to junction 16, Lane closures for embankment and pavement works.

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further 16 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M40, from 10pm February 28 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to A40, Lane closure for maintenance work.

• M25, from 10pm February 28 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 16 to M40 southbound, junction 1a, Lane closure on link road for maintenance work.

• M25, from 10pm February 28 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 16 to M40 southbound, junction 1a, Lane closure on link road for maintenance work.

• M40, from 9.30pm March 2 to 5am March 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• M25, from 11pm March 2 to 6am March 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 Anticlockwise, junction 16 to M40 northbound, junction 1a, Lane closure on link road for maintenance work.

• M4, from 11pm March 3 to 5am March 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 southbound, junction 4 to junction 4A, Lane closure for urgent electrical works.

• M4, from 11pm March 3 to 5am March 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 northbound, junction 4A to junction 4, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M25, from 10pm March 6 to 6am March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15 to junction 16, Lane closures for embankment and pavement works.

• M4, from 10pm March 6 to 5am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, Lane closures for drainage works.

• M4, from 10pm March 7 to 5.30am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 westbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M25, from 9pm March 8 to 5am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise to M40 northbound, Lane closures on link road for maintenance work.

• M25, from 9pm March 8 to 5am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise to M40 northbound, Lane closures on link road for maintenance work.

• M40, from 9pm March 8 to 5am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• M25, from 9pm March 9 to 5am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise to M40 southbound, Lane closures on link road for maintenance work.

• M40, from 9pm March 9 to 5am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A40, from 10pm March 11 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A40 northbound to M40 northbound, junction 1, Lane closure for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
