Hillingdon road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week
Hillingdon's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.
And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M40, from 9.30pm February 13 to 5am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound,, junction 1 to junction 1a, Lane closure for maintenance work.

• M4, from 10.30pm February 19 to 5.30am February 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures and entry slip road closure for CCTV camera removal M4 SMP, diversion via National Highways roads.

• A40, from 10.30pm February 26 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, link road to M25 clockwise, carriageway closure for maintenance works, diversion southbound, via national highways network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
