Hillingdon road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Hillingdon's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M4, from 10pm July 16 to 5.30am July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, Lane closures for M4 smart motorway works.

M4, from 11pm July 15 to 5.30am July 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, carriageway, slip road and lane closure for smart motorway works, diversion via Local authorities.

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm July 18 to 5.30am July 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, Lane closures for smart motorway works.

M25, from 10pm July 20 to 5.30am July 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15, M25 clockwise link road closure to M4 westbound, for smart motorway works, diversion via National Highways Roads, M4, junction 4 and return.

M4, from 8pm July 22 to 6am July 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5, slip road closure for Smart Motorways works, diversion via National Highways network.

M4, from 10pm July 25 to 5.30am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Lane closures for smart motorway works.

M25, from 10pm July 27 to 6am July 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anticlockwise, junction 16 to junction 15, carriageway closure for surfacing works, diversion via National highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
