Hillingdon road closures: eight for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Hillingdon's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 10pm September 30 to 5am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4 to junction 5, Lane closures for structure inspection works.

• M4, from 10pm September 30 to 5am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4, Lane closures for structure inspections works.

• A40, from 10pm September 30 to 5.30am October 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1A, Lane closures and link road closures for resurfacing works, diversion via National Highways roads.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M4, from 10pm October 9 to 5am October 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction junction 3, Lane closures for vegetation clearance, diversion via, junction 4 and return.

• M40, from 10pm October 10 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• M4, from 10pm October 10 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4, Lane closure for Sign Installation works.

• M25, from 10pm October 11 to 6am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4, Lane closures for vegetation clearance works.

• M4, from 10pm October 16 to 5am October 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4, Lane closures for vegetation works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
