Hillingdon road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 8pm January 6 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 7 to 5, slip road and lane closures for M4 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways network.

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further nine closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M4, from 10pm February 7 to 5am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 4, Lane closures for temporary CCTV removal M4 SMP.

• M25, from 10pm February 10 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 16 to M40 southbound, junction 1a, Lane closure on link road for maintenance work.

• M40, from 10pm February 10 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to A40, Lane closure for maintenance work.

• M25, from 10pm February 10 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 16 to M40 southbound, junction 1a, Lane closure on link road for maintenance work.

• M40, from 9.30pm February 13 to 5am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound,, junction 1 to junction 1a, Lane closure for maintenance work.

• A40, from 9.30pm February 13 to 5am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A40 northbound to M40 northbound, junction 1, Lane closure for maintenance work.

• M40, from 9.30pm February 13 to 5am February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound,,junction 1a to junction 1, Lane closure for maintenance work.

• M25, from 10pm February 18 to 5.30am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15 to junction 16, Lane closures for embankment and pavement works.

• M4, from 10.30pm February 19 to 5.30am February 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures and entry slip road closure for CCTV camera removal M4 SMP, diversion via National Highways roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
