Hillingdon road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M4, from 10pm December 5 to 5.30am December 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 4, Lane closures and exit slip road closure for M4 SMP, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M4, from 10pm December 5 to 5am December 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 southbound, junction 4, carriageway closure for white lining works, diversion via local authority and TFL roads.

• M25, from 10pm December 5 to 5.30am December 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anticlockwise, junction 16 to junction 15, Lane closures and link road closures for resurfacing works, diversion via National highways roads (M25 to junction 14 and return).

• M4, from 10pm December 10 to 5.30am December 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures and entry slip road closures for M4 SMP, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M4, from 10pm December 12 to 5am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

• A312, from 10pm December 13 to 5am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3, Lane closures for structures inspections.

• M25, from 11pm December 14 to 6am December 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, Lane closures and link road closures for resurfacing works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• A40, from 10pm December 15 to 6am December 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, A40 to junction 1a, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M4, from 10.30pm December 18 to 5.30am December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Lane closures for M4 SMP.

• M4, from 10pm December 19 to 5am December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
