Hillingdon road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 10pm October 22 to 5.30am October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15, Lane closures for drainage defects works.

• A3113, from midnight, October 21 to 11.59pm October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3113 clockwise, junction A3044, Lane closures for improvement works.

• M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M4, from 10pm October 24 to 5.30am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures for M4 SMP lighting works.

• M4, from 10pm October 24 to 5.30am October 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, carriageway closure and entry slip road closures for M4 Smart motorway works, diversion via local authority roads.

• M4, from 10pm October 25 to 5.30am October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 4, Lane closures for M4 SMP lighting works.

• M4, from 10pm October 26 to 5.30am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closure for M4 SMP technology works.

• M4, from 10pm October 27 to 5.30am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, Lane closures for M4 SMP lighting works.

• M25, from 10pm October 29 to 5am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15, Lane closures for drainage defects works.

• A40, from 9pm October 31 to 6am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• M4, from 10pm October 31 to 5am November 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
