Hillingdon road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M4, from 10pm July 9 to 5.30am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, carriageway closure for M4 Smart motorway works, diversion via local authority roads (A312 southbound, A4 westbound, A3044 southbound, A3113 westbound, M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15 to re-join M4).

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further nine closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 9pm July 11 to 5.30am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, lane closures for M4 smart motorway works.

M25, from 9pm July 11 to 5.30am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15, lane closures for M4 smart motorway works.

M25, from 10pm July 11 to 5.30am July 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, carriageway, link road and entry slip road closures for M4 Smart motorway works, diversion via Highways England network and local authority roads.

M4, from 10pm July 11 to 5.30am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane 1,2 closure for smart motorway works.

M4, from 11pm July 15 to 5.30am July 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, carriageway, slip road and lane closure for smart motorway works, diversion via Local authorities.

M40, from 9pm July 16 to 6am July 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1a, Lane closures due to maintenance work.

M4, from 10pm July 16 to 5.30am July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, Lane closures for M4 smart motorway works.

M25, from 10pm July 20 to 5.30am July 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15, M25 clockwise link road closure to M4 westbound, for smart motorway works, diversion via National Highways Roads, M4, junction 4 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
