Hillingdon road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Hillingdon's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A40, from 10pm June 26 to 6am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a, exit slip road closure for maintenance work, diversion via National Highways Network.

• M40, from 10pm June 26 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 1a, Hard shoulder closure for maintenance work.

• A312, from 10pm June 26 to 5.30am June 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane and entry slip road closures for Smart Motorways, diversion via M4 J4.

• M4, from 11pm June 30 to 5.30am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane and exit slip road closures for HADDMs works, diversion via, junction 2 and back.

• M40, from 10pm July 4 to 5am July 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 1a, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• M25, from 9.30pm July 6 to 5am July 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound to M25 northbound, link road closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways Network.

• M4, from 10pm July 10 to 5.30am July 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, Lane closures for HDDM's surveys.

• M4, from 10pm July 10 to 5.30am July 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Lane closures for HADDMs surveys.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
