Food hygiene ratings handed to 12 Hillingdon establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 12 of Hillingdon’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to eight restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Pret a Manger at Airside Pier 5 Terminal 3, Canberra Road, London Heathrow Airport; rated on June 30

• Rated 5: Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd at Virgin Atlantic Club House, T3 (Airside), London Heathrow Airport; rated on June 30

• Rated 5: L D Hayes Ltd at Barrett Homes Building Site Canteen, Nestles Avenue, Hayes; rated on June 27

• Rated 5: YO! Sushi at Commercial Unit D14 Terminal 2 The Queen'S Terminal Departures Level, Inner Ring East, London Heathrow Airport; rated on June 21

• Rated 5: Costa Coffee at 18 Long Drive, Ruislip; rated on May 23

• Rated 3: Red Onion Cafe at 95 High Street, Ruislip; rated on May 5

• Rated 1: Falooda Wala at 10 Clayton Road, Hayes; rated on May 31

• Rated 1: Keke and Koko at 5 High Road, Ickenham; rated on March 14
