Road closures: nine for Havering drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Havering will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 10pm August 2 to 6am August 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 Anit-clockwise, junction 29 to junction 28, carriageway and lane closure for joint inspections, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M25, from 10pm August 2 to 6am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 28 to junction 29, Lane closure for Joint Replacement and Resurfacing works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A13, from 10pm August 7 to 5.30am August 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A13 eastbound, junction Winington to junction Stifford, Lane and carriageway closure for Lamp column removal works, diversion Via National Highways roads.

• M25, from 10pm August 7 to 5.30am August 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 30 to junction 29, carriageway and entry slip road closure extended off of tunnel for resurfacing works, diversion via A13 eastbound, A128, A127 to junction 29.

• A127, from 10pm August 14 to 6am August 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 29 to junction 30, carriageway, slip road and lane closure for resurfacing works, diversion via Local authorities.

• M25, from 10pm August 15 to 6am August 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 29 to junction 30, Lane closure for structures inspections.

• A13, from 10pm August 16 to 5.30am August 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 30, entry slip road closure, diversion Via Local Authorities roads.

• M25, from 10pm August 21 to 5.30am August 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 28 to junction 29, Lane and carriageway closure for lighting works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.

• A13, from 10pm August 21 to 5.30am August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A13 westbound to M25 clockwise link road, Lane closure for site access.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
