But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

A13, from 10pm August 30 to 5am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A13 westbound, junction A1012 to junction M25, Lane one closure westbound, for CAT 1 safety fence repair.

M25, from 10pm September 1 to 5am September 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 29 to junction 30, Lane closures for CAT1 loop repair.

A12, from 10pm September 5 to 5am September 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25, junction 28, Lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
