New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Havering’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Mangal Meze, at 100 South Street, Romford was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 14.

And Upminster Golf & Bowling Club Restaurant, at 114 Hall Lane, Upminster was given a score of three on November 14.

It means that of Havering's 599 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 399 (67%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
