And they are all are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

M1, from 10pm September 15 to 5am September 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, carriageway and slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via National highways network.

M1, from 10pm September 19 to 5am September 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, carriageway and slip road closure, diversion via National highways network.

M1, from 10pm September 21 to 5am September 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway and slip road closures for maintenance works, diversion via National highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
