Harrow road closures: three for motorists to avoid this week

Harrow's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And they are all are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

• M1, from 11pm March 10 to 5am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway closure, entry slip road closure and lane closures for maintenance works, diversion via TFL roads.

• M1, from 10pm March 15 to 5am March 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, carriageway and slip road closure, diversion via TFL roads.

• M1, from 10pm March 20 to 5.30am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway closure, lane closures and entry slip road closures for urgent surveys, diversion via TFL roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
