Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to seven Haringey establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven of Haringey’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: La Rotonda Restaurant @ at 229-231 Muswell Hill Broadway, Hornsey, London; rated on May 25

• Rated 5: Lovage at 33 Topsfield Parade, Tottenham Lane, Hornsey, London; rated on May 19

• Rated 5: Art for Arts Sake at 362 Muswell Hill Broadway, Hornsey, London; rated on May 17

• Rated 5: Velasquez and Van Wezel Ltd at 78 Park Road, Hornsey, London; rated on May 16

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Royal British Legion at British Legion, Muswell Hill Road, Hornsey, London; rated on May 18

• Rated 5: The Maynard Arms at Public House, 70 Park Road, Hornsey, London; rated on May 17

• Rated 5: The Park Inn at 12 Palace Gates Road, Wood Green, London; rated on April 20
