Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to 12 Haringey establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 12 of Haringey’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to 10 restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: The Chick House at 395 Green Lanes, Hornsey, London; rated on January 20

• Rated 5: UMUT 2000 LIMITED at Restaurant, 551 Green Lanes, Hornsey, London; rated on January 20

• Rated 5: Devran Restaurant at 485-487 Green Lanes, Hornsey, London; rated on January 19

• Rated 5: Hala at 29-31 Grand Parade, Tottenham, London; rated on January 19

• Rated 5: Simit Sarayi at 36 Grand Parade, Tottenham, London; rated on January 19
