Good news as food hygiene ratings given to 10 Haringey establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Haringey’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to eight restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Belash at 53 Topsfield Parade, Tottenham Lane, Hornsey, London; rated on June 30

• Rated 5: Merro Cafe at 85 Crouch End Hill, Hornsey, London; rated on June 29

• Rated 5: Pears One at 820 High Road, Tottenham, London; rated on June 29

• Rated 5: Little Dinosaurs at Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way, Wood Green, London; rated on June 27

• Rated 5: Chaiiwala at Unit 25 X, Wood Green Shopping City, High Road, Wood Green; rated on June 24

• Rated 5: The Banc at 261-263 West Green Road, Tottenham, London; rated on June 21

• Rated 5: Rancho Brazil at Upper Ground Floor Restaurant, 2 Queens Parade, Brownlow Road, Wood Green; rated on June 16

• Rated 5: Miranda at 28 Broadway Parade, Tottenham Lane, Hornsey, London; rated on June 10
