A Hackney takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A Hackney takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Mermaid Fish Bar, a takeaway at 189 Lower Clapton Road, Hackney, London was given the score after assessment on January 18, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Hackney's 268 takeaways with ratings, 131 (49%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
