A Hackney restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Viva Falafel, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Unit 36 Boxpark Retail Mall 2-10 Bethnal Green Road, Hackney, London was given the maximum score after assessment on June 13, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Hackney's 1,070 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 603 (56%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
