New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to three of Hackney’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Apothecary East at 36 Charlotte Road Ltd, Hackney, London; rated on May 30

• Rated 5: Manteca Restaurant at 49-51 Curtain Road, Hackney, London; rated on May 25

• Rated 5: Crs Food at Railway Arch 376 To 377 Helmsley Place, Hackney, London; rated on May 19

It means that of Hackney's 1,066 similar establishments with ratings, 603 (57%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
