Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to nine Greenwich establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to nine of Greenwich’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Sultan sofrasi at 63 Greenwich High Road, Greenwich; rated on January 23

• Rated 5: Champagne & Fromage at 34 Greenwich Church Street, Greenwich; rated on January 18

• Rated 5: Franco Manca at 29 - 31 Greenwich Church Street, Greenwich; rated on January 16

• Rated 5: Gourmet Burger Kitchen at 45 Greenwich Church Street, Greenwich; rated on January 16

• Rated 5: Heap's Sausages at 8 Nevada Street, Greenwich; rated on January 16

• Rated 5: Sticks 'n' Sushi at 1 Nelson Road, Greenwich; rated on January 16

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 5: Shooters Hill Golf Club Ltd at Shooters Hill Golf Club Eaglesfield Road, Plumstead, Greenwich; rated on January 25
