Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 11 Greenwich establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of Greenwich’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: McDonald's at 55 - 61 Eltham High Street, Eltham, Greenwich; rated on September 8

• Rated 5: Burger King at 61 Bugsbys Way, Charlton, Greenwich; rated on September 7

• Rated 5: River Gardens Cafe at 20 River Gardens Walk, Greenwich; rated on September 5

• Rated 5: Gurkha's Inn at 17 Colomb Street, Greenwich; rated on September 2

• Rated 5: Dragonhub Limited at 27 - 29 Charlton Church Lane, Charlton, Greenwich; rated on August 31

• Rated 5: Chipotle at Unit 12.0.6 Icon Outlet At The O2 Peninsula Square, Greenwich; rated on August 22

• Rated 5: Tasty African Food at 52 Herbert Road, Woolwich, Greenwich; rated on August 10
