Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 10 Greenwich establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Greenwich’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Caloroso Breakfast & Desserts at 1b Griffin Road, Plumstead, Greenwich; rated on February 16

• Rated 5: Golden Chippy at 62 Greenwich High Road, Greenwich, Greenwich; rated on February 16

• Rated 5: Graysons Restaurants at Queen Mary Building Greenwich, London; rated on February 16

• Rated 5: Graysons Restaurants at Dreadnought Building Greenwich, London; rated on February 16

• Rated 5: Pizza Hut at 61b Bugsbys Way, Charlton, Greenwich; rated on February 12

• Rated 5: Hooked at 152 Westmount Road, Eltham, Greenwich; rated on February 8

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 5: SALT Craft & Pizza at 15 Major Draper Street, Woolwich, Greenwich; rated on February 17
