Food hygiene ratings given to nine Greenwich establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to nine of Greenwich’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Frilly’s at The Mulberry Tea Room at Mulberry Tea Rooms Charlton House Charlton Road, Charlton, Greenwich; rated on January 5

• Rated 5: little kathmandu kitchen at 24 Calderwood Street, Woolwich, Greenwich; rated on January 5

• Rated 5: Egg and Co at 194 Court Road, Eltham, Greenwich; rated on January 4

• Rated 5: Frankie & Benny's also t/a Bao Now, Bird Box, Bone Jam, Breakfast & Lunch, Puddo, Kick-Ass Burrito, STACKS, Street Feud at The Arena The 02 Peninsula Square, Greenwich; rated on December 4

• Rated 5: Wasabi Sushi and Bento at 17 Entertainment Avenue, Greenwich; rated on December 4

• Rated 4: Imperial Chef at 240 Woolwich Road, Greenwich; rated on December 7
