Road closures: nine for Enfield drivers this week

Drivers in and around Enfield will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 10pm October 17 to 5.30am October 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25 to junction 26 lane one and entry slip closure, Lane and slip road closure, diversion via national highways network.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M25, from 10pm October 18 to 5.30am October 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25, entry slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• A10, from 10pm October 19 to 5am October 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25, Southern quadrant roundabout closure for scheme works, diversion via local authority.

• M25, from 10pm October 25 to 5.30am October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 25 to junction 24, Lane closures for skid resistance testing.

• M25, from 10pm October 25 to 5am October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 24 to junction 25, Lane closures for Speed / Red X Enforcement Camera maintenance.

• M25, from 10pm October 25 to 5.30am October 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25, entry slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M25, from 10pm October 26 to 5.30am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 Anti clockwise, junction 25 to junction 24, Lane closures for skid testing.

• M25, from 10.30pm October 28 to 5am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25 to junction 23, carriageway and slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via National highways network.

• M25, from 11pm October 28 to 5.30am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 24 to junction 25, Lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
