Road closures: almost a dozen for Enfield drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Enfield will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 5am July 22 to 4.59am July 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 26 exit slip road, exit slip road closure for water main repair works, diversion via National Highways roads.

And a further nine closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M25, from 9pm July 24 to 5am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 25 to junction 24, Lane closure for ERA Investigation works.

• M25, from 10pm July 25 to 5am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 24 to junction 25, Lane closure for communications works.

• A10, from 11pm July 28 to 5am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 24 to junction 25, Lane and slip road closure for drainage works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M25, from 11pm July 28 to 6am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25 to junction 26, Lane closure, for NRTS works.

• M25, from 10pm July 29 to 5am July 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): 25 clockwise, junction 25 to junction 26, Lane and carriageway closure for ERA BAY Ecology works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M25, from 10pm July 29 to 5.30am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 24 to junction 26, Lane and carriageway closure for tunnel inspection works, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

• M25, from 9pm August 2 to 5am August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25 to junction 26, Lane closure for ERA Bay Ecology works.

• M25, from 10pm August 5 to 5am August 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 26 to junction 24, Lane and carriageway closure for ERA Bay Ecology work, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M25, from 9pm August 7 to 5am August 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 24 to junction 25, Lane closure for ERA Bay Investigation works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
