Enfield road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week

Enfield's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start this week:

• M25, from 10pm May 9 to 5.30am May 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25, slip road and lane closure for testing works, diversion via Local authorities.

• M25, from 10pm May 9 to 6am May 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): 25 anti-clockwise, junction 27 to junction 26, Lane closure for Joint Replacement works.

• M25, from 11pm May 12 to 5am May 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25 to junction 26, Lane closure, carriageway closures for cyclical maintenance diversions via National Highways Roads.

• M25, from 10pm May 18 to 6am May 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 25 to junction 26, Lane closure for communication works.

• M25, from 10pm May 22 to 5.30am May 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 26 to junction 25, Lane closure for communication works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
