Enfield house prices increased in September
House prices increased by 1.9% in Enfield in September, new figures show.
But the rise does not reverse the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area suffer a 0.1% annual decline.

Hide AdThe average Enfield house price in September was £454,410, Land Registry figures show – a 1.9% increase on August.
Over the month, the picture was different to that across London, where prices decreased 0.3%, and Enfield was above the 0.5% drop for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Enfield fell by £260 – putting the area 12th among London’s 33 local authorities with price data for annual growth.
The highest annual growth in the region was in Tower Hamlets, where property prices increased on average by 6.4%, to £509,000. At the other end of the scale, properties in Kensington and Chelsea lost 20.6% of their value, giving an average price of £1,203,000.

First-time buyers in Enfield spent an average of £394,360 on their property – £660 less than a year ago, but £46,860 more than in September 2018.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £519,890 on average in September – 31.8% more than first-time buyers.

Owners of terraced houses saw the biggest rise in property prices in Enfield in September – they increased 2.2%, to £489,248 on average. Over the last year, prices dropped by 0.3%.

- Semi-detached: up 1.7% monthly; up 0.1% annually; £716,854 average
