Couple of social care services judged as not good enough in Ealing

A pair of social care services have been rated negatively in Ealing.

A pair of social care services have been rated negatively in Ealing.

The Care Quality Commission is in charge of inspecting social care services across England. The organisation judges care providers across various metrics – with the best possible rating being 'outstanding', and the worst 'inadequate'.

The latest data from the CQC shows two providers have been rated in Ealing in January.

Lifestyle Care Services Limited t/a Home Instead Senior Care – a community-based service – was awarded a 'requires improvement' rating on January 9. Its latest inspection was on October 30.

Another care provider, OASIS West London Office, was given an 'inadequate' rating, having last been inspected on October 19. The rating was published on January 12.

Services scored as 'inadequate' will generally be put under special measures by the CQC, and will likely undergo further inspections. 'Requires improvement' is less serious, but still means the service is not meeting expectations.

Well-performing organisations will instead be given a 'good' or 'outstanding' rating.
