New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Croydon’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Carters, at 74 High Street, South Norwood, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 23.

And Clarendon Nursing Home, at 7a Zion Place, Thornton Heath was given a score of three on August 23.

It means that of Croydon's 583 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 406 (70%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
