New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Croydon’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Roy's Kitchen At The Smugglers Inn, at 318-320 Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 25.

And Original Adwoa's Kitchen, at 314 Whitehorse Road, Croydon was given a score of four on September 14.

It means that of Croydon's 581 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 403 (69%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
