A Croydon restaurant has been handed a new zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Star Express Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 944 Brighton Road, Purley was given the minimum score after assessment on August 21, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Croydon's 584 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 408 (70%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
