Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to 11 Westminster restaurants

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of Westminster’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to 11 restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Hyde Park Corner Lodge at Hyde Park Corner Lodge, London; rated on May 10

• Rated 5: Misto at 7 Shepherd Market, London; rated on May 10

• Rated 5: Tommi's Burger Joint at 30 Thayer Street, London; rated on May 10

• Rated 5: Garrick Arms at 8-10 Charing Cross Road, London; rated on May 9

• Rated 5: Mitie Group PLC at Great Minster House 33 Horseferry Road, London; rated on May 9

• Rated 5: Olivo Restaurant at 21 Eccleston Street, London; rated on May 9

• Rated 5: La Fromagerie (Marylebone Ltd) at Ground Floor 4 Moxon Street, London; rated on April 19

• Rated 5: Hush at 8 Lancashire Court, London; rated on April 14

• Rated 5: Mcdonalds Restaurants at 122 Baker Street, London; rated on April 12

• Rated 5: Benugo Limited at London Coliseum 32-35 St Martin'S Lane, London; rated on April 5

It means that of Westminster's 3,066 similar establishments with ratings, 2,041 (67%) have ratings of five and just 12 have zero ratings.
