New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Westminster’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Kapara, at Ilona Rose House Manette Street, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 6.

And Akash Restaurant, at 500a Edgware Road, London was given a score of three on October 7.

It means that of Westminster's 3,190 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 2,150 (67%) have ratings of five and just 12 have zero ratings.
