Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 11 City of London establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of City of London’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Pizza Express at 7 St Paul'S Churchyard, London; rated on April 5

• Rated 5: Yauatcha at 32 Broadgate Circle, London; rated on April 5

• Rated 5: Salesforce EMEA Ltd at 110 Bishopsgate, London; rated on March 31

• Rated 5: Pret A Manger at Unit 3 Moorgate Hall, 143-171 Moorgate, London; rated on March 24

• Rated 5: The Cafe, Level 1 at Moorgate Hall, 155 Moorgate, London; rated on March 24

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 5: Karaoke Box at Jarvis House, 12 Smithfield Street, London; rated on April 3
