Road closures: seven for Barnet drivers this week

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M1, from 10pm March 10 to 5am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway and slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via Local authorities.

M1, from 10pm March 10 to 5.30am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for parapet works.

M1, from 10pm March 10 to 5.30am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2, slip road closure for parapet works, diversion via local authorities.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M1, from 10pm March 15 to 5am March 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, carriageway and slip road closures for maintenance works, diversion via National highways network.

A1, from 10pm March 17 to 5am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound, Barnet bypass, Lane closures for drainage works.

A1, from 10pm March 17 to 5am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, Barnet Bypass, Lane closures for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
