Road closures: seven for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Barnet will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M1, from 10pm October 2 to 5am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane 3,2 closure for barrier works.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A1, from 10pm October 16 to 5.30am October 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway closure for concrete repair works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.

M1, from 10pm October 17 to 5.30am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for Area renewal works.

M1, from 10pm October 18 to 5.30am October 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for joint investigations.

A1, from 11pm October 20 to 5am October 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1 northbound, junction Borehamwood, entry slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via TFL roads.

M1, from 10pm October 30 to 5am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway, Lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
