Road closures: seven for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Barnet will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M1, from 10pm August 5 to 5.30am August 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, slip road closure and carriageway closure for resurfacing works, diversion via TFL roads.

M1, from 10pm August 2 to 5am August 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for barrier repairs.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M1, from 10pm August 7 to 5am August 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4 slip road, Lane closure for urgent drainage works.

M1, from 10pm August 14 to 5am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway to junction 2, Lane closure for Sign Installation.

M1, from 10pm August 14 to 5am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction London Gateway, Lane closure for Sign Installation.

M1, from 10pm August 21 to 5am August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
