Road closures: nine for Barnet drivers this week

Drivers in and around Barnet will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that nine closures are due to start this week:

• M1, from 10pm March 28 to 5.30am March 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1, link road closure for inspection works, diversion via Local authorities.

• M1, from 10pm March 31 to 5am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for Cat one Vegetation works.

• M1, from 10pm April 4 to 5am April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm April 5 to 5am April 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, Gateway Services to junction 5, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm April 5 to 5am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 2, Lane closure for cable survey works.

• M1, from 10pm April 6 to 5am April 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 1, Lane closure for cable survey works.

• M1, from 10pm April 7 to 5am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm April 7 to 5am April 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for Cable survey works.

• M1, from 10pm April 7 to 5am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to Gateway Services, Lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
